Hampden Papers, Inc. takes great pride in a long tradition of integrity and values. The responsibility as an American business in the global market has taught us to minimize our impact on the environment while providing for our customers needs. Setting the standard of quality is not only limited to the products we produce, but also the way we produce them. Our values made us one of the first paper converters to switch to water-base coatings from solvents in the mid 1980's, long before strict environmental standards required it. We are proud to have reduced our annual volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions by 97%.

Incorporating Green Initiatives into our business

In 1992, we introduced our 510PC (printers choice) coating, allowing many customers to print more efficiently, at higher speeds, and with less waste. In 2008 Hampden Papers, Inc. introduced Zero Gauge, a transfer metalized laminated product line. The transfer metallizationprocess introduces an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional foil and film lamination. Zero Gauge products are biodegradable and recyclable. Hampden Papers, Inc. is committed to strengthening a sustainable business platform with green practices in order to provide our customers with a range of options to meet their own sustainability and environmental objectives. Striving to achieve a green supply chain, we are partnered with domestic suppliers who are either SFI or FSC certified. To that end, we agree to define and document our commitment to implement and maintain the chain of custody requirements, and make this available to our personnel, customers, suppliers and other interested parties. Hampden Papers holds chain of custody certifications to the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), The Sustainable Forest Initiative® (SFI®), and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™).
